Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Post-graduate Scholarship for Academic Year 2025

The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) is a school for higher education that started in 2005. It was created by Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana. CGI offers different kinds of programs to help students learn about important topics like health and the environment. The goal of CGI is to teach students using the latest methods so they can become smart and capable leaders who can help their countries grow in a way that's good for the environment and the people who live there. Right now, CGI has programs where students can earn a Master's degree in Applied Biological Sciences. These programs focus on areas like environmental health, environmental toxicology, and chemical science.s.


This year, there are 15 scholarships open to international applicants who wish to pursue a Master’s Degree at the CGI. Selection for these scholarships will be based on merit. Thai citizens should apply separately through the scholarship designated for them.

Eligibility

Scholarships are available for qualified applicants who fulfill the following criteria:

  • ·       Maximum 30 years of age (No exemption)
  • ·       Hold a Bachelor Degree 
  • GPA of at least 2.75 

  • Sciences: Chemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Environmental Sciences

  • Medical Sciences: Medicine, Medical Technology

  • Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences


Applicants from other relevant fields are encouraged to apply as well.

  • ·       Applicants should possess experience in scientific laboratory research.
  • They must also demonstrate proficiency in English, preferably by achieving a satisfactory score on one of the two recognized language proficiency tests (TOEFL, IELTS).
  • Additionally, applicants must submit a statement of purpose detailing their interests in the field of study

Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship will include coverage for the following:

  • Tuition and academic fees (including credit fee, laboratory expenses, refresher course fee, enrollment fee, thesis fee, production of thesis documents)
  • Round-trip airfare
  • Visa fee
  • First settlement allowance
  • Relocation allowance
  • Accommodation
  • Monthly stipend
  • Book allowance
  • Health insurance
  • Other miscellaneous expenses.

Award Period

The scholarship award will include a six-week refresher course followed by a two-year Master’s Degree study. The scholar's progress will be annually reviewed for satisfactory performance. CGI retains the right to terminate the scholarship if the academic criteria are not met or if the awardee fails to comply with CGI's rules.

Please note that the refresher courses are expected to start tentatively in June 2025, with the academic program commencing in August 2025.

Applicants are required to fill out the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Post-Graduate Scholarship Program's application form for international applicants. They should submit this form along with other necessary supporting documents through the following channel:
