1. Understand the Scholarship Types


The KSA Ministry of Education offers:

Internal Scholarships (for expats already in KSA)

External Scholarships (for international students outside KSA — like Pakistan, India, etc.)


You will be applying under the External Scholarships category.



2. Choose the MOE-Approved Universities


You must apply directly to government universities approved by the Saudi Ministry of Education.

  13. Najran University – Najran

Note: Apply to multiple universities to increase chances — each has its own portal and deadline.



3. Required Documents (Scanned & Translated in Arabic or English)


You must prepare the following documents in PDF format:

Passport (minimum 1-year validity)

CNIC or National ID

Recent Photograph (white background)

All academic transcripts & degrees (attested)

Police Character Certificate

Medical Certificate (issued within 6 months)

Psychology Certificate

Birth Certificate (optional but recommended)

Recommendation Letters (2 required for MS/PhD)

Statement of Purpose (for postgraduates)

Arabic or English Language Certificate (some ask for IELTS, most accept MOI)



4. Eligibility Criteria (Standard Guidelines)


Bachelor’s:

Age: 17–25

Minimum: 75–80% or 3.0/4.0 GPA

Must have completed secondary school within the last 3 years.


Master’s:

Age: Under 30

Minimum: 3.0/4.0 GPA

Field of study should align with bachelor’s.


PhD:

Age: Under 35

Strong academic and research profile

Research proposal might be required



5. Language Requirements

Many Saudi universities do not require IELTS if your previous education was in English.

A Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificate may be accepted.

Some technical universities may still prefer IELTS/TOEFL.



6. Application Process

Applications are submitted directly on  KSA system.

After submission, your application goes through:

1. University review and selection

2. Ministry of Education approval

3. Visa processing through Saudi Embassy


No agent or middleman is officially required.



7. Financial Benefits

Full Tuition Fee Coverage

Monthly Stipend:

~850–900 SAR for undergraduates

~1000–1100 SAR for postgraduates

Free Medical Insurance

Free Air Tickets (initial + return)

Free Accommodation or monthly housing allowance

Allowance for books and academic supplies

Visa and Iqama (residence permit) processing



8. Important Notes

Always apply early; many universities close their portals without notice.

Don’t rely on a single university — apply to at least 3–4.

Keep translations and attestations ready to avoid delays.

No application fee is required for most universities.
