2. Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a Pakistani citizen.

  • Previous recipients of this scholarship are not eligible.

3. Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship is fully funded and includes:

  • Monthly stipend:

    • PhD students: CHF 1,920

    • Postdocs: CHF 3,500

  • Health insurance (for non-EU/EFTA scholars)

  • One-time housing allowance (CHF 300 rental deposit)

  • Half-price public transport card

  • Return airfare to Pakistan at the end of the program

  • Research and establishment allowances

Note: Tuition fees, conference travel, and fieldwork costs are usually not covered.

4. Duration

  • PhD scholarships: 1–3 years (renewable annually based on academic progress).

  • Postdoc scholarships: 12 months (non-renewable).

  • Completed FCS application form

  • Research proposal (approx. 5 pages with timeline)

  • Letter of invitation/commitment from a Swiss supervisor

  • Copies of academic transcripts and diplomas
